God holds our precious daughters with him and knows Hannah Elizabeth and Meghan Sunshine intimately from beginning to infinity as He is the Ancient of Days.  He knows our joy and sadness from beginning to end as He is the past the present and the future as He is The Ancient of Days (Daniel 7).

2nd Birthday  / Mommy

My sweet darling how big you must be getting in heaven! Daddy says you are probably asking 'why' alot and we know you are getting the right answers.  We spent a quiet day today talking about you missing you imagining you here with us.  We planted a flowering crabapple tree for you today in the front yard and we will tend to it and nurture it in your memory.  2 deer the mommy and the little guy we've been watching all summer came into the yard as we were planting it and just watched.  You must have sent them to remind us that you are with us always.  It's so hard to imagine how big you would be if you were here and how much you would have changed our lives.

We love you Meghan so very much and miss you with every breathe every hour of every day.  Fly high my darling angel and know just how much you are loved.

Your First Birthday  / Mommy

Oh, my sweet darling, you would be 1 here on earth today, but instead you are 1 in heaven.  We had a beautiful party for you, and everyone had such a good time.  We had pink cupcakes, and we wrote letters to you, and put them in the fire to send to you in smoke signals .  I know you received them, and you know just how loved, cherished, and missed you are.  It was a happy time, a time to celebrate the vital impact you had on our lives, and our hearts.  Daddy and I know that you love us, and that we will hold you again someday.  We wait for that day with bated breath, little girl.  Oh, how big you would be!  We tried to imagine what you would look like today, how much you would have grown, whether you would be walking... Daddy says he knows we would have dressed you all in pink :-)

My darling, my precious, my Meghan.  You have been on my mind so much lately, but that's nothing new.  We went to your little spot in Gilbertsville yesterday, and your tulips we planted for you last year are getting ready to bloom.  It was both beautiful and heartbreaking simultaneously.  Knowing how you would have loved beautiful flowers, and yet knowing we have to wait to share these things with you.  Your daddy is so amazing, and he loves you so much.  He is so proud of how your little life touches so many others, but seeing how he misses you is hard, little one!  I know that you are with us always.  When the wind blows through the trees, you are whispering in our ears.  When the sun sets behind the hill, you are coloring.  When the flowers bloom, you are sending us smiles.  And when it rains, you are washing away our tears.  I love you, darling.  Always and forever, baby.  Always and forever.
